KATEKIS DI TENGAH GAYA HIDUP MODERN: Ibarat berpastoral di antara ‘lalang’ dan ‘gandum

Menjadi seorang katekis atau rasul awam dalam konteks situasi dunia dewasa ini merupakan panggilan dan perutusan yang tidak mudah. Katekis zaman ini tak dapat menghindarkan dirinya dari kenyataan dunia yang sedang digempur oleh berbagai arus zaman seperti: teknologi, materialisme, individualisme, hedonisme, sekularisme, radikalisme, dan sebagainya. Rasul awam harus masuk ke dalam situasi seperti ini dan berpastoral di sana, ibarat berpastoral di antara lalang dan gandum. Dalam terang inspirasi perumpamaan Yesus tentang lalang di antara gandum (Mat 13:24-30), tulisan ini coba menghantar para katekis untuk mengambil sikap pastoral yang tepat berhadapan dengan kenyataan di medan pastoralnya.
